Mombasa to Host Pwani Innovation Week 2023

Swahili Pot will host the 4th edition of the Pwani Innovation Week 2023 in Mombasa. Pwani Innovation Week is a consolidated effort by the Swahilipot Hub Foundation and its partners to help create a widespread culture of innovation and stimulate the innovation ecosystem in the coastal region of eastern Africa. The theme for this year’s edition is Sailing Beyond Borders: Empowering Youth in the Digital Economy for a Sustainable Future.

The event will bring together stakeholders from academia, government, private sector, and civil society to brainstorm and engage on pertinent topics such as gender equality and innovation, technology and economic development, and climate action.

Some of the speakers include Susan Mang’eniPrincipal Secretary, State Department for MSMEs; Sally MahihuChairperson, KENINVEST; Granton Mwandawiro, CECM Water, Climate Change and Natural Resources – Taita Taveta County; and Priyanka Patel, Innovation Manager, Kenya Red Cross Society.
